Competition Teams

• PHOENIX DANCE COMPANY MONTHLY DANCE WORKSHOP (every last Fri. of the month). 7:30 - 9:30 pm. $13/dancer.
   
  Our philosophy towards competition revolves around a simple concept: the thrill of performance. We try to instill in our dancers that the fun and thrill of performing is more important than the award itself.  We want them to dance, dance dance.... and enjoy every minute of it.

Being on a competition team at MDPA requires dedication and sportsmanship.  Not only do the dancers train all week, they also build strong friendships that last far past their years at the studio. 
 
The dancers are required to take ballet and technique classes to support their other forms of dance.  They learn and perfect routines and then begin their competition season in February or March.  In the summer, the dancers compete in a National competition which completes their dance season.
 
The dance educators of MDPA watch with much pride as their dancers take the stage at each competition.  With each step, smile and movement they are achieving our goal:  the thrill of performing!
